If Brad Paisley wasn’t a big-time country singer, it’s sounding more and more like he wouldn’t mind being a big-time comedian. Once again, Paisley is preparing to take full advantage of the chance to spread his comedic wings via an appearance on a brand new comedy special.
“Unhinged in Hollywood with Special Guest Brad Paisley” will air at 8 p.m. EST on Sept. 17 on NBC and will feature Paisley doing some skits with famed comedian and ventriloquist Jeff Dunham. The show was filmed during a two night comedy stand at the Dolby Theatre in Los Angeles this past August. In a recent interview, Paisley says that he has always been a big time fan of Dunham’s. Paisley also mentioned that he would be performing his current single “Country Nation” during the show.
“It’s about having a source of pride in a sport or a region and showing that pride with the ball cap you are wearing,” said Paisley, who has been on the road as of late with his Country Nation College Tour presented by Zaxby’s tour, visiting colleges throughout the country. Just this past weekend, he played for a total of 65,000 young fans at schools such as the University of Texas, Baylor University and the University of Arkansas.
