NASHVILLE, Tenn. (March 21, 2016) This past Saturday, March 19, Brad Paisley performed for his tenth time at The Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo for 74,810 paid attendees.
On Saturday afternoon Paisley teased on Twitter that he had a surprise for the Rodeo crowd and did he deliver! Towards the end of the show Paisley and his band started playing “Houston (Means I’m Only One Day Closer to You)” an 80’s country classic by Larry Gatlin and the Gatlin Brothers. After a few seconds of playing Paisley cut the song off and announced Larry was actually at the show and joined him on stage with his brother Rudy. A line of the song goes “Yeah singing at the world’s biggest rodeo show was a great time for me and the guys,” and as the Houston Chronicle wrote “It was almost too perfect.”
