A Baylor University spokeswoman said Monday that space will be available for as many as 10,000 people to attend the free Brad Paisley concert on Sept. 11 on campus.

The original statement from the university said "no seating will be provided for the event in the grassy area of Fountain Mall,” but said, “A grandstand accommodating approximately 3,000 people on a first-come, first-served basis will be located on Third Street in front of Moody Library."

On Monday, Baylor spokeswoman Lori Fogelman released a second statement that said the venue will hold about 10,000 including 3,000 in the grandstand near Moody Library and another 7,000 who may sit on the lawn.

The comedy band The Raging Idiots, which features Bobby Bones and Eddie from iHeartMedia's national country radio program The Bobby Bones Show, will be the special guest at the show.

Gates open at 5:30 p.m. on Sept. 11, a pep rally begins at 7 p.m., The Raging Idiots perform at 7:30 p.m. and Paisley takes the stage at 8:30 p.m.

The event ends with a fireworks show at 10 p.m. over Pat Neff Hall.

The stage will be the south end of Fountain Mall between South 5th and South 3rd Streets, facing Moody Library.
